Introduction

At 34 years old,  Keajuan Galit Robinson (RetroGalit) has built a career defined by discipline, imagination, and a lifelong devotion to visual storytelling. A full-time illustrator and graphic designer,  who’s currently a  part time designer for reformUSA. He’s an amazing artist that I happened to have the pleasure of meeting at the LA comic con, his excerpt blends technical precision with expressive flair, producing work that resonates strongly within the comic, manga, and trading card game communities. From convention floors to professional design studios, their journey reflects years of consistency, evolution, and creative ambition.

Early Beginnings & Artistic Foundation

Art has been a constant in Galit’s life since the age of seven. What began as an early fascination with drawing quickly evolved into a disciplined practice, laying the groundwork for a professional career rooted in both traditional draftsmanship and modern digital workflows.

To further refine their skills, Galit studied anatomy at the New York Art Institute, developing a deep understanding of form, structure, and movement—an influence that remains evident in their dynamic compositions and character-driven work today.

---

Professional Career & Graphic Design

With an extensive background in graphic design, Galit has successfully bridged the gap between fine illustration and commercial application. They are currently employed as a graphic designer at Reform USA, where they contribute professionally to brand-driven projects while maintaining a strong personal artistic identity.

This balance between commercial design and independent illustration has allowed Galit to sustain a full-time career in art—an achievement that reflects both technical versatility and creative endurance.

Illustration, Fanart & Pokémon Work

Well known for their Pokémon card fanart sketches and paintings, Galit has cultivated a dedicated following among fans of the franchise. Their work often reimagines familiar characters with heightened emotion, dramatic lighting, and a painterly sensibility that pushes fanart beyond homage and into original interpretation.

Notably, Galit is the creator of the first Souls-like Pokémon fanart comic, a project that merges dark fantasy storytelling with iconic characters, demonstrating a bold and unconventional creative vision.

Conventions, Shows & Community Presence

Over the years, Galit has become a familiar presence at comic conventions and TCG collectible events, particularly throughout the Los Angeles area. Regularly exhibiting at LA Comic Cons and surrounding shows, they sell original artwork, prints, sketches, and paintings directly to fans, fostering a strong connection with the community.

These events have played a significant role in shaping their career, allowing for direct engagement, real-time feedback, and long-standing relationships with collectors and fellow creators.
